The photo above depicts a comparison between Cruiser and Poncho seed treatments on a very sharp sand in Essex County in late May.Though we wouldn't expect to find differences of the magnitude shown in the above photo there can be subtle instances between these two chemistries when just the right conditions present themselves.In the case above a heavy pressure of TRUE WHITE GRUB feeding on the below ground portion of the plant along with extended cool cloudy weather and heavy rainfall caused the Poncho to have an advantage.Normally you would never see this kind of difference as when both compounds enter the plant they behave exactly as the same chemistry.What is not shown above is that when you move off the sand and into the clay the insect control of both the Cruiser and Poncho are the same. Something that may help you explain the odd difference between these two chemistries.
